The main character of this book is an ordinary child who is not particularly good at anything but understands and values time spent laughing and chatting with his friends over being the best at something. He is a kid who proudly confesses that he does not care about winning. This picturebook presents what children may be missing when they get caught up in excessive competition using simple lines and restrained colors. It helps readers to realize that the most important value is building friendships and growing up to be a person who knows how to care for others.

This book begins with a voice announcing the week’s weather as something round and yellow develops into lines that begin to move calmly and slowly but eventually become dynamic. The footsteps of the characters following in accordance with the yellow lines transcend the boundaries between children and adults, between what is nearby and far away, between everyday life and art, and between humans and non-humans, spanning entirely the pages of the book. The vibrant stories of the characters unfold across the yellow lines and reach a peak in the second half of the book to present a magnificent spectacle.

This book contains the story of eighteen-year-old Jeongeum, who is suffering from Graves’ disease. After every session of radioactive iodine therapy, she has to stay at least two meters from other people for forty-eight hours. It forces Jeongeum to spend time in isolation after therapy. Keeping a two-meter distance becomes a metaphor for the way people relate to others. When Jeongeum’s pain is conveyed across the two meters needed to protect herself and others, empathy begins to bloom.
