Hello, Every Day is a Chinese character enlightenment picture book which takes the children to understand the meaning of Day, Month, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Year, and learn how to write these Chinese character.

The ancient Chinese book Xunzi records: “Ploughing in spring, weeding in summer, harvesting in autumn and resting in winter.” Chinese ancestors observed the change of seasons to get the rule of farming, so the grains are endless and the people have plenty to eat. Therefore, these seven Chinese characters about time reflect the wisdom of ancient Chinese people, their keen insight and their way of getting along with nature.

The book depicts a story of a little girl who took the light rail with her mother back to her grandmother’s house for the Mid-Autumn Festival, watching the scenery outside the window and imagining all the way. As the train door opens and closes, the picture switches between reality and the girl’s imagination. The story is told in the form of folk nursery rhymes. The scenery in the pictures hides the classic art works of many Chinese and foreign masters, so that children can not only read repeatedly to find famous paintings, but also get excellent artistic edification in reading.

고양이 도시에는 수백만 마리의 고양이가 살고 있고, 지하에도 그만큼의 고양이가 있다. 유일한 차이점은 지하에서는 낮밤의 변화가 없고 칠흑같이 어둡다는 것이다. 고양이 도시에 사는 고양이들은 모두 같은 옷을 입고 같은 집에 살며 같은 음식을 먹는다. 그러나 지하에 사는 고양이들은 서로를 볼 수 없기 때문에 각각 다른 방식으로 산다. 그러던 어느 날 한 줄기 빛이 지하로 새어들어오고, 지하에 살던 고양이들은 서서히 서로를 보며 변화하기 시작하는데…

작가는 빛이 새어들어온 이후에 지하 세계에서 밝아진 부분이 점차로 커지는 것으로 고양이들이 다른 이들이 자신을 어떻게 생각하는지 깨달아 가는 과정을 은유한다. 이 과정에서 지하에 사는 고양이들은 차이점을 인식하기 시작하고, 대부분 남들이 하는 대로 따라하는 것을 선택한다. 결국 지하에서나 지상에서나, 모두의 생활이 똑같아질 때까지. 그러나 자세히 살펴보면 여전히 다른 선택을 하는 고양이도 있다.

There are over a million cats in Cat City and another million living underground. The only difference is that living underground means there is no change of day and night, and it is pitch black. The cats in Cat City all wear the same clothes, live in the same houses, and eat the same food. At the same time, the cats living underground cannot see each other, so every cat has its own way of living. Until one day, a ray of light entered the ground, and the cats living underground begin to see each other and start to change.

After the light shines in, the illustrator uses the gradual expansion of the bright part in the underground world to indicate the process of the awakening of the cats’ awareness of how others think of themselves. During this process, the cats living underground starts to be aware of their differences, and most of them choose to follow others’ suit. Until, in the end, the underground and the over ground become alike. However, if you take a closer look, there are still several cats who choose to be different.
